Wheeeee! Liam Learns to Skiiiiiiii!

This weekend Liam had his first try at skiing!

And here he is skiing for real! He was surprisingly well balanced - we're guessing due to all those skating lessons? - but he had the attention span of a typical 3 year old. So the adventure was short....

....and then we had a lot of this! That's pretty much how I ski, anyways....

Quote Of The Week?

Liam has been a treasure trove of interesting (and highly questionable) statements this week. But I think the question he asked yesterday while getting out of the car for preschool takes the title for Quote of the Week:

"Mom? Do you have some cash I can bring to give my teachers in case they want to buy some wine?"

Cash? Wine? Where is he getting this stuff?!
I can hardly wait to hear what he comes up with next week!

Valentine Production Line

I realize I'm a little late on this....but it's never too late to spread the love, right?
Last week we let loose the glitter glue and sequins to make Valentine's cards for all Liam's preschool friends. How did that go? Let's just say that Groupon for 75% off carpet cleaning couldn't have come at a better time!

We made a rainy Valentine's Day fun with an adventure at Koko's (indoor jungle gum), turned our teeth pink with red-heart marshmallows, and even lit some candles at dinnertime. I think that was the kids' favorite part! As I was tucking Liam into bed he said "Mommy, you're my Valentine." Just as my heart was melting he followed that up with: "Sometimes you yell. But I have a laser." Sigh. Almost perfect. I'll take it.

Brushing Up On Agriculture

This morning Liam asked me: "How is buckwheat harvested?"
Yes, really.

When I Eats Me Spinach

Houdini

Like every kid, she loves to play the "Where's Sarah?" game. Can you spot her?

There she is!

Taking a break from hiding in the laundry to catch up on Superwhy....

But these days, when we ask "Where's Sarah?" sometimes it's a less rhetorical question. She has mastered the climbing-out-of-the-crib manoeuvre....and when we think she's sleeping she may actually be doing any number of things. Usually she's just sneaking back down the stairs, bunny tucked securely under one arm. But once I did catch her chilling out in her big comfy chair, testing how long she could ride out nap time!
Looks like it's time to start bed shopping again!
